COLBINABBIN could be boosted by the inclusion of up to six players for its Heathcote District league match against Leitchville-Gunbower this Saturday.
The Grasshoppers have endured a wretched run of injuries over their first four games, but have emerged with a 3-1 record to be sitting third on the ladder.
The Grasshoppers look set to be significantly bolstered though with the imminent returns of key position swingman Damien Carmody (back), plus Nat Nixon (hamstring), Pat O'Brien (hamstring) and Sam Vale (back) to strengthen the midfield, as well as the availability of recruits Jono Barnett and Seamus Bromley.
However, X-factor forward Daniel Connors remains on the sidelines.
Connors had been set to return last round against Huntly from a hamstring injury, but instead suffered a calf injury in the lead-up to the match.
Tim Hill (ankle) is also out, while forward Ryan Hon's season is over with a serious foot injury and twins Hugh and Cooper Hamilton are vying for Vic Country under-16 selection.
And Bull himself, who pulled the boots back on due to the long list of sidelined players, is nursing a rib injury.
The Grasshoppers are coming off a 107-point win over Huntly in their last outing before the inter-league break in which they kicked a remarkably accurate 25.4.
"The mentality among the playing group was fantastic in that game against Huntly... there was a whole different urgency and standard of pressure," Bull said.
"Now it's about making sure we emulate that from week to week."
The Grasshoppers are about to embark on a challenging month to round out the first half of the season, with three of their next four opponents all currently in the top five - Leitchville-Gunbower this weekend, Mount Pleasant (round eight) and North Bendigo (round nine).
