The slow-motion footage shows a man performing a backflip on a cliff ledge at Boroka Lookout in the Grampians.
The man lands safely but stumbles back towards the cliff edge when he does so.
Stawell State Emergency Service controller Alan Blight described the action as ludicrous.
"It is just crazy, people have died falling from that ledge in the past," he said.
"It was only a few years ago we had to recover the body of a lady who lost balance and tumbled over the edge.
"If someone falls from that ledge we won't be called out for a rescue, it will be for a body recovery. It is quite a long way down to rocks and trees below.
"All emergency services are impacted in that situation."
Earlier in the year, Northern Grampians police issued a warning for people taking "selfish selfies" at the national park.
"A lot of it is for Instagram photos and social media - it is beyond belief people would put their lives at risk just for some 'likes' online," Mr Blight said.
Like many popular lookout sites in the Grampians, Boroka has a metal fence to try and prevent visitors from entering dangerous areas.
"Behind the fences are where the best views are anyway," Mr Blight said.
Australian Community Media has chosen not to share the video footage.
Parks Victoria district manager Gavan Mathieson has slammed the actions seen in the video.
"We're staggered by this reckless, deliberate behaviour, which puts at risk not just the individual but very potentially Park Rangers, emergency services and other members of the public in the case of a fall on this steep terrain," he said.
"Each year, Park Rangers, Police, SES and Ambulance respond to falls that result in serious injuries and sometimes deaths.
"The potential impact of this kind of dangerous behaviour is bigger than the individual - it takes resources away from other emergencies or park management and can encourage copycat activities.
"We'll be further investigating this video. Penalties can apply for going over barriers in a national park."
