Ravi Sarup, 26, was convicted for speeding and driving while suspended after pleading guilty to the charges in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court.
Sarup was intercepted on the Bridgewater-Serpentine Road at Salisbury West in December last year after police detected him travelling at an alleged 119 km/h in the 100 km/h zone.
He was found to hold a licence that had been suspended for demerit points.

The court heard Sarup was the primary income earner in his family and losing his licence would likely mean he would also lose his job, which would be of detriment to his family.
The court was also told he had enrolled in a road trauma course.
Magistrate Bruce Cottrill said the charges were serious and Sarup's driving history indicated he had an issue with speeding.
Mr Cottrill fined Sarup $1300 with costs and told him he would be jailed if caught driving suspended or disqualified again.

Meanwhile, another motorist has been taken off the roads for 12 months for his second drink-driving offence.
Samuel Frawley, 27, was intercepted in High Street, Golden Square in October last year.
After a preliminary breath test he undertook a second test and returned a reading of 0.055.
The court heard he had lost his licence previously for drink-driving.
Frawley's licence was cancelled and he was disqualified from driving for 12 months from October last year.
He was also convicted and fined $850 plus costs.
