Bendigo's Lucas Herbert nailed a nine-metre birdie putt at his final hole to make the cut at the US PGA Championsip at Bethpage Black in New York.
Playing in the final group on course, Herbert bogeyed the 16th and 17th holes to find himself five-over par for the tournament and one shot outside of the halfway cut.
After a monster drive down the 18th fairway, Herbert's pitching wedge second shot went over the top of the pin and finished nine metres or 28 feet from the hole.
Much to the delight of the crowd, the 23-year-old calmly holed the putt to secure a berth at the weekend.
Herbert shot an even-par 70 in his second round, four shots better than his opening round.
He finished one shot ahead of Tiger Woods, who missed the cut.
American star Brooks Koepka has a stranglehold on the tournament.
After shooting a seven-under par 63 on day one, Koepka followed up with a five-under par 65 on day two to be 12-under for the tournament and seven shots ahead of Australia's Adam Scott and American Jordan Spieth.
