There's plenty to see during the day but it is night where the Illumin8 Festival shines brightest.
The light-themed festival kicked off on Friday with a number multicultural performances including the a Welcome to Country, Tibetan Chanting, Plum Blossom and Bollywood dancing, an Asia Raya puppet show and a fire dance.
But the main event was the animated light show featured on the 50-metre high Great Stupa of universal Compassion.
On Saturday, gates open at 10am and feature performances from the Karen Culture Dance Group, Filipino Choir, Peace Choir of Castlemaine, Bendigo Chinese Association lion teams.
The animated light show fireworks and Burning the Bad art installation take places from 7.25pm.
