It will be an all out dogfight on Sunday afternoon when North Bendigo hosts top team Golden Square at Atkins Street.
Golden Square is the only undefeated team so far in the 2019 Central Victoria Football League Women's season and are keen to get the job done over its hosts to keep the 4-0 undefeated record intact.
"I'm really pleased with the way the girls have gelled so well in such a short period of time - every game they continue to improve," Golden Square coach Rick Ladson said.
"North Bendigo is a great club with a strong team - they will be a hard side to beat, it will be a challenge."
North Bendigo coach Alana Long said the team had trained hard in the lead up to Sunday's clash.
"We've been working on our forward line structure and keeping our backline nice and tight - which will be key during this weekend's game," Long said.
North Bendigo kicked off the season with an 11-point win over Eaglehawk, a 58-point loss to Kangaroo Flat in round two, a 74-point loss to Strathfieldsaye in round three and a 24-point win over Kyneton in round four.
In other round five games, Kangaroo Flat hosts Kyneton at Dower Park and Strathfieldsaye will take on Eaglehawk at Strathfieldsaye Recreation Reserve, with the Hawks still eager to notch the first win of the season.
