After sustaining a shoulder injury two seasons ago while playing with the Kilsyth Cobras, Hampton will return to the court this weekend for the season-opener of the Women's National Wheelchair Basketball League.
Hampton and her fellow Cobras head to Perth for round one where the team will play three games.
First up the Cobras will take on the Red Dust Lady Heelers and reigning premiers the Queensland Comets on Saturday, followed by a clash with hosts Perth Wheelcats on Sunday.
"It's a new-look team with a few people that were there when I played with them two years ago as well as a couple of new faces," Hampton said.
"We've had a couple of training sessions together and I can't wait to get back onto the court again with the girls."
It may be a of couple years since Hampton has played in the WNWBL, but she believed top teams Sydney, Perth and Queensland were still the squads to beat.
"A lot of the players in the WNWBL have competed for Australia in international leagues," Hampton said.
