Some people see the democracy sausage as a treat for voting, while others see it simply as lunch.

Here's where to vote and snag a sausage
Bendigo
- Where: St Paul's Cathedral, Myers Street.
- When: 8am to 1.30pm.
- What: Sausages (including gluten-fee), egg, bacon (up to 10.30am), vegetarian foods, coffee and tea, chocolate brownies, gluten-free and dairy-free cake. Raising money for St Paul's Cathedral.
Bendigo
- Where: Creek Street Christian College, Hargreaves Street.
- When: 9am to 2pm.
- What: Barbecue to raise money for our sister school in Labasa, Fiji. This year's mission trip task is to tile the floor of one of their classrooms and library. All money will go towards the purchase of tiles.
Bendigo
- Where: Weeroona Oval, Napier Street.
- When: 11am to 2pm.
- What: Sandhurst Cricket Club hosts this barbecue.
Flora Hill
- Where: Holy Trinity Church, Keck Street.
- When: From 9am.
- What: Free barbecue.
Maiden Gully
- Where: Maiden Gully Primary School, Carolyn Way.
- When: From 9am.
- What: Barbecue.
Eaglehawk
- Where: Eaglehawk Secondary College, Reserve Street.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Barbecue.
Big Hill
- Where: Big Hill Primary School, 5644 Calder Highway.
- When: 8am until sold out
- What: Egg and bacon sandwiches, cake stall, barbecue, cold drinks.
Eppalock
- Where: Eppalock Primary School, 149 Panton's Road, Axe Creek.
- When: 8am to 2pm.
- What: Sausages, egg and bacon rolls, cakes and a playground for children.
Golden Square
- Where: Golden Square Primary School, Maple Street.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Barbecue.
Kangaroo Flat
- Where: Crusoe Secondary College, Olympic Parade.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Barbecue. School will raise money for its national championships in December.
Kangaroo Flat

- What: Barbecue.
California Gully
- Where: California Gully Primary School, Staley Street.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Barbecue.
Strathfieldsaye
- Where: Strathfieldsaye Sports Club, Club Court.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Strathfieldsaye Scout Group hosts a barbecue and will be selling raffle tickets.
Quarry Hill
- Where: Quarry Hill Primary School, Peel Street.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Raising money for the school's kitchen garden.
Epsom
- Where: Epsom Primary School, Howard Street.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Barbecue.
Junortoun
- Where: Bendigo Baptist Church.
- When: 8am
- What: The Community Action Group is running a barbecue.
Bridgewater
- Where: Bridgewater Memorial Hall, 37 Eildon Street.
- When: 8am to 2pm.
- What: Enjoy a snag or egg and bacon roll on election day. There will be tea, coffee, cold drinks, cakes, slices, jams, relish, plants, crafts and plus lots more. The Campbells Forest CWA is a newly established branch aiming to raise money to support families in need.
Elmore
- Where: Elmore Primary School, Michie Street.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Money raised to go to resurfacing the school's undercover area.
Campbells Creek
- Where: Campbells Creek Primary School, 127 Main Road.
- When: 9am to 1pm.
- What: Parents and Friends Club will host a barbecue and cake stall, raising money to upgrade the basketball-netball court.
Castlemaine
- Where: Castlemaine North Primary School, Barker Street.
- When: 8am to 5pm.
- What: Barbecue to raise money for the school, a selection of homemade treats, egg burgers and coffee.
Castlemaine
- Where: Winters Flat Primary School, 3 Roberts Avenue.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Barbecue, cake stall, vegetarian options, raising money for the school.
Newstead
- Where: Newstead Primary School, 28 Lyons Street.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Barbecue and bake sale, egg burgers.
Malmsbury
- Where: Malmsbury Primary School, 28 Cameron Street.
- When: From 8am.
- What: Team Malmsbury will run the barbecue and cake stall to raise money for the school. Vegetarian options available.
