Qantas has said passenger numbers for its Bendigo to Sydney flights have been "consistently strong" on the Sunday and Monday services, but would not say whether flights on other days have been performing as strongly.

The QantasLink flights between the two cities began on March 31 and have been operating six days a week.
A Qantas spokesperson said on average, 85 per cent of the plane has been full during the Sunday and Monday services.
They said Qantas could not provide information about other services due to commercial sensitivity.
"We've seen a great response in the first six weeks of the service and forward bookings are also looking strong," a spokesperson said.
"We're continuing to work with tourism bodies and ask the business community to rally behind the route so that it remains a strong and viable link between Bendigo and Sydney well into the future."
The first flights, which left Bendigo on March 31 and returned to the city from Sydney on April 1, were both sold out.
A spokesperson said the services during the Easter and school holiday period also continued to be "extremely popular" with travellers flying both in and out of Bendigo.
The spokesperson said passengers over the past six weeks have been a mixture of corporate and leisure travellers.
"These flights are a real time-saver and offer great connectivity from our flights into Sydney, making Bendigo far more accessible for our domestic and international customers," the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said flights on the Bendigo to Sydney route have also been more punctual than services on other domestic and regional routes.
More than 88 per cent of flights departing from Bendigo left on time in April. There were also zero flights cancelled on the inaugural route.
On average, only 83.8 per cent of domestic and regional route services are punctual.
At the time of the launch of the QantasLink flights between Bendigo and Sydney, members of the Bendigo business community welcomed the services.
But they also expressed a desire for Qantas to fly from Bendigo to other major cities like Adelaide and Brisbane.
A Qantas spokesperson said at this stage, they were only focused on improving the Bendigo to Sydney flights but would be open to assessing alternative routes in the future.
The spokesperson also said there were no developments on a possible Qantas Pilot Academy in Bendigo.
The city is one of seven destinations under consideration after Toowoomba was announced as the first site last year.
