The men had a comfortable nine-point lead over the visitors at the end of the first quarter.
With the momentum flowing from both sides of the court, at half time the Supercats managed to bring the margin down to six points, and at the end of the third quarter Braves bumped it back up had with an 18-point lead.
And by the end of the fourth quarter, the Braves finished with a solid buffer to finish the game 96-80 over the visitors and move to a 5-3 record.
Braves' captain Ray Turner towered over the Supercats to finish with a total of 17 rebounds and 19 points to his name.
American import Deonte Burton impressed with 18 points and seven rebounds.
It was almost looking too good to be true, after eight games the Bendigo Braves women were unscathed and looked to be unstoppable.
But that came to an end on Sunday afternoon at the Bendigo Stadium, where the Geelong Supercats sharpened their claws to secure a 16-point win over the Braves to end their undefeated record.
The Supercats took hold of the game early, leading by 11 points at the end of the first quarter.
During the second quarter the Braves managed to lessen the damage to a four-point margin to go to half time with the Supercats in favour, and by the end of the third quarter, Braves were down by 24 points .
In a hard-fought eleventh hour effort in the final quarter, the Braves added another 29 points to the board, but it wasn't enough to overcome the visitors.
By the final buzzer the Supercats purred to victory over the Braves with the scores at 95-111.
Braves' captain Kelly Wilson put on her usual stellar performance shooting 36 points on a 68 per cent shooting average with nine assists.
Gabe Richards finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds, with Wilson's sister Andrea also fielding 12 rebounds throughout the game.
After the loss, Braves move to third position on the ladder behind Dandenong in second and Geelong in first.
Next week Braves men and women will wrap up their five-game home court streak when they host Waverley Falcons on Saturday night at the Bendigo Stadium.
