With the scores neck-and-neck for majority of the match, a goal on the buzzer pushed Mount Pleasant to 36-35 over hosts Elmore to seal the team's second win of the season.
"It was a very close, tough and physical match," Mount Pleasant coach Belinda Pinner said.
"The scores seesawed, it was close all day. But we certainly had plenty of opportunities to win by a slightly larger margin.
"To Elmore's credit they kept fighting back and got up in the last quarter."
However, after Elmore gained control of the match, the Blues "pulled it together" and managed to take the narrow win.
Blues' top scorer was Karly O'Toole who sunk 27 goals to be named as best on court.
"Karly is a real smooth shooter that moves well around the court," Pinner said.
Another challenge for the Blues was being "outsized" by the Bloods.
"We are also a pretty young side and are outsized by most teams each weekend," Pinner said.
Regardless of the win, Pinner spotted several areas of improvement which will be focused on before next round to ensure the team can fire all on cylinders from start to finish each game.
"Sometimes there was a lapse of intensity, a bit of a lull," Pinner said.
The league had another close game with hosts Heathcote getting nudged by two-points and defeated by Leitchville Gunbower.
In a very close battle the Bombers were able to get the job done over the Saints 34-32 by the final siren to move to a 3-2 record.
In other matches top squad White Hills continued its domination with an 80-point win over hosts Lockington Bamawm United.
The Demons remain undefeated so far this season and as it looks will be top contenders for back-to-back premierships.
In the the only home win of the round, Colbinabbin locked down its court with a nine-point win over Huntly.
The Grasshoppers defeated the Hawks 46-37 to remain undefeated this season, and are eager to make another grand final appearance come the business end of the season.
Next week is the inter league clash, with the Heathcote District netball squad set for a road trip to take on the Sunraysia District.
