Police are investigating the cause of a collision in Goornong on Tuesday evening.
Investigators confirmed the driver was an a 27-year-old Echuca man.
They believe he was travelling north on Axedale-Goornong Road when he veered off the road into a tree.
The man was airlifted to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A man has been airlifted to hospital in Melbourne after a crash in Goornong on Tuesday night.
The man in his 40s was in a serious condition with injuries to his upper and lower body after the crash.
Police say the man's car ran off the road and hit a tree at about 6.45pm.
The crash took place on the Goornong-Fosterville Road.
