Since being announced as the Triple J Unearthed act for Bendigo's Groovin the Moo she has been preparing for the biggest set of her life.
Yergurl, known off the stage as Fae Scott, enjoyed her final rehearsal on Friday ahead of the festival on Saturday. The pop artist has employed some extra band members to help give her a bigger sound when she hits the stage at 11.40am.
"My twin sister is, like, my DJ, and I have organised a drummer as well," yergurl said. "It's been awesome, I didn't expect it to sound as good as it does.
"It really excites me for Groovin, I just hope I don't overload with energy and excitement."
This week yergurl was a featured artist on Triple J. She also released an official video for her song boys think u look PHRESH!
"Triple J Unearthed premiered my music video and that helped me gain a bunch of new followers," she said.
"The scariest thought is that only five people or something come to watch (me at GTM)."
Yergurl has also had to get used to having ample stage space for her set.
"Every stage been on previously has had stuff ready for next act," she said. "This one so big and spacious, I feel like there's no way to prepare for that.
"But I have plenty of friends that live in Bendigo that are coming.
"When I know friends are coming to gigs, it is really calming and gives me a really nice positive headspace."
GTM Bendigo is on Saturday, May 4, at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds.
