Why turn track into a shooting range?
I frequently ride or walk on the tracks both sides of the Bendigo Creek between Howard Street and Tennyson Road.

I see a lot of foxes and rabbits - the place is thick with them.
So to see signs of them being shot, well hopefully, if the shooters are being very careful, that is a good thing.
On Anzac Day as a returned serviceman I took the opportunity for a long ride along the track from Tennyson Road to Lyons Rd to reflect.
Between Millwood Rd and Lyons Road I came across I'm guessing what was last night's kill, left right in the middle of the track. Several scalped foxes and dead rabbits.
Why did they have to be left in the middle of the track?.
Then a little further up there was a ute parked between the track, fairly close to the creek.
A bloke acknowledged me as I rode towards them.
And just as I got past the shooting started, which startled me a little.
I can only assume that they were shooting towards the creek using the levee bank as a buffer.
But the track running between the levee bank and the creek on the eastern side is the best track by far along the creek, and is used by walkers bike riders and horse riders.
Who gave you the right to make it a shooting range?
Please, lift your game!

1000 Doors artists thank the people of Bendigo
We were thrilled to be invited back to Bendigo to stage our companion project to 'House of Mirrors', '1000 Doors' in Rosalind Park for the Bendigo Art Gallery. The response has been fantastic and beyond our expectations.
'1000 Doors' has been a wonderful project for us since its first showing at the Melbourne International Arts Festival in November last year. Since then it has been to Auckland, New Zealand and now here in Bendigo over the Easter Festival period. As one of the commissioning partners, we would like to thank the Bendigo Art Gallery for their solid support.
As 'House of Mirrors' ships off to North America and '1000' Doors tours around the rest of Australia and then follows on to hop around the globe, the City of Bendigo will always be mentioned as one of the great supporters and cities we love to visit.
Like 'House of Mirrors', '1000 Doors' has had incredible attendances and brilliant feedback during its run.
To all that have attended, and to all the local people that have worked on the project and made it possible, particularly the local building crew, thank you so much.
Thanks Bendigo.
