A STRONG contingent of recruits are part of Heathcote District's senior inter-league training squad for next month's AFL Victoria Community Championships match.
The HDFNL has an away trip to play Sunraysia on Saturday, May 18.
The league this week announced a training squad of 39 for the clash.
Included in the training squad are plenty of recruits to the league, including Elmore's Romain Grenville, Colbinabbin's Ben Southam and Todd Clarke, Heathcote's Codie Price, LBU's trio of Nathan Bacon, Paddy Gardiner and Rhys Woodland, Mount Pleasant's Joseph Whiting, North Bendigo's Jake Hyland and the White Hills' former AFL duo of Sam Kerridge and Jed Lamb, plus Mitch Dole.
The inter-league side will again be coached by Nick Carter, with his assistants to be Matt Sawyer, Danny Brewster and Grant Weeks.
All clubs have at least three players in the training squad.
LBU has the most selected with seven.

Leitchville-Gunbower - Logan Prout, Daniel Coates, Hoby Bussey, Brady Hore.
LBU - Jarod Bacon, Nathan Bacon, Paddy Gardiner, Rhys Woodland, Tyler Phillips, Bart Phillips, Tom Leech.
Mount Pleasant - Ben Weightman, Dale Young, Joseph Whiting, Luke Marchesi, Mitch Bennett.
North Bendigo - Jarrod Findlay, Joel Helman, Darcy Richards, Aaryn Craig, Jake Hyland.
White Hills - Jed Lamb, Rhys Irwin, Sam Kerridge, Mitch Dole, Kris Bedford.
