Different cultural groups, businesses, support services and emergency services paraded down View Street and Pall Mall.
The usual lion and dragon dancers, which were a crowd favourite, were also among the more than 60 entrants who performed in this year's event in front of record crowds.
The Bendigo Indonesia Australia Klub were one group who were making the most of the festivities.

They played music, sang and danced for the thousands of people who lined the parade route in the CBD.
"We've been doing this since 2000," group leader Marthin Nanere said. "We want to show the community that we exist.
"We are Indonesian and we want to be part of the culture here.
"We want to share our culture and we want to get to know Australia. And we want Australians to know Indonesia as well."
