BUTTERFLIES and The Hulk were among the most popular face painting designs at the Bendigo Easter Festival's arts and craft market.
Crowds flocked to the Good Friday market as they hunted through more than 200 stalls for handmade goodies, unique treasures, collectibles and things worth eating.
Face painter John Burns' stall was proving popular.
The most sought-after designs were forever changing as new movies and television shows arrived on children's screens.
Yet popular designs could change from event to event, Mr Burns said.
"If we do a Wonder Woman you can get a rush on that design," he said.
The market continues on Easter Sunday in Bridge Street and Park Road, Bendigo.
