A man accused of causing a crash that killed a woman at Graytown last July is seeking his own crash reconstruction expert ahead of a proposed committal hearing later this year.

David Greer Mummery appeared in Bendigo Magistrates Court on Wednesday for a committal mention.
Mr Mummery's lawyer, John Whelan, sought an adjournment and said the information sought by the defence was expected to be ready in July.
Office of Public Prosecutions prosecutor Jennifer Taylor said waiting until July before setting a committal date would mean a long delay in the court process.
"We've got victims waiting for the outcome," Ms Taylor said.
But Mr Whelan expressed concern the defence did not yet know what witnesses it wanted to cross-examine at the committal hearing.

Magistrate Sarah Leighfield decided to set a tentative date in late August for a committal hearing, to avoid delays in the process.
Mr Mummery is charged with dangerous driving causing death, two counts of dangerous driving causing serious injury, careless driving, and failing to keep left in relation to a crash on the Heathcote-Nagambie Road on the afternoon of July 13.
A 55-year-old woman was killed and her two daughters seriously injured when Mr Mummery's vehicle allegedly crossed to the wrong side of the road and collided with their vehicle.
The daughters were taken to Bendigo Health after the crash.
Mr Mummery was also injured in the collision, and was airlifted to hospital in Melbourne.
The court heard at a hearing in February that Mr Mummery was driving home to Bendigo from his Graytown workplace when the crash occurred.
Detective Leading Senior Constable Mitchell said at the hearing that momentary inattention was the alleged cause of the crash, and other factors such as speed, drugs or alcohol were not involved.
Mr Mummery was supported in court on Wednesday by several people.
He will return to court in early August for a special mention.
