He wound his way through Bendigo's CBD early Sunday morning.
It was not not just a chance to take in some of the city's sights.
Dai Gum Loong will live at Girton Grammar's gym in Vine Street until the Bendigo Advertiser Easter gala parade.
Rather than begin the parade at the Queen Elizabeth Oval with the rest of the city's dragons, Dai Gum Loong will enter via Bath Lane.
He will meet up with retiring dragon Sun Loong, original dragon Loong and night dragon Yar Loong at the Alexandra Fountain.
The fountain is the same place that Sun Loong met Loong for the first time in 1970.
Sunday marked the second time Dai Gum Loong had explored parts of Bendigo.
Last weekend he left the Bendigo Airport, with more than 110 people believed to have helped walk him the five kilometres to the Golden Dragon Museum in Bridge Street.
