The Victorian Rifle Association is hosting the four-day event which starts on Wednesday, with the prestigious Queen's Prize to be presented to the best shooter on Sunday.
In the lead-up to the final day, shooters will compete across a series of events including the Anzac and David Syme competitions.
Shooters aim at targets over a range of distances for the Queen's Prize, from 500 yards through to 1000 yards in the final contest.
The Queen's Prize 2018 was won by New South Wales shooter Duncan Davies.
Davies shot a score of 399.47 to win the Victorian Rifle Association's Queens Prize ahead of Brisbane's Geoff Grosskreutz (398.47) and Benalla's James Corbett (396.45).
The best local performance last year was from Geoff Grenfell, who finished in 10th position with a score of 394.52.
