Day four of the national championships included a silver medal-winning feat by Bendigo Harriers' Antonio Vaitohi, and Eaglehawk's Kye Mason in the 100m showdowns.
Vaitohi was runner-up in the under-17 final as he clocked 11.32 seconds.
The young gun from the Goulburn Valley region achieved a heat time of 11.18 which was fourth fastest.
Queensland's Prosper Nowoko struck gold in a superb time of 11.16. The wind reading was -2.6.

James Miller from Bendigo Harriers was in the same heat as Mason and ran a time of 11.51 to be 14th in the qualifying rounds.
