The science educators at Bendigo's Science and Discovery Centre are prepare to travel through time and space as they teach children about the history of transportation.
A new school holiday show - Around the World - will show different forms of transport and the science behind them.
"It's all about how each step in science and technology created the next wave of transport that came along," science communicator Alissa Van Soest said.
"We will look at things kids don't normally ride like submarines, rockets and all that sort of stuff."
Ms Van Soest said the April school holidays are always busy especially when combined with Easter.
"We will be down in Rosalind Park (for Easter) with a maker's activity on Friday and Easter Sunday being all about slime," she said.
"The festival is always so busy and it's our first time doing slime down there, so it might get messy."
Discovery will close for Easter but may re-open depending on weather.
"Whether or not we open (Discovery) when the festival is on is dependent on the weather," she said.
"If its sunny and beautiful we hope everyone comes to see us at the park, if it's stormy and rainy then Discovery will open up."
Discovery's Around the World opens on April 6 and runs until April 18. Shows will be at noon and 2pm daily. Phone 5444 4400 for more details.
