Sets of number plates were taken from seven vehicles in Kangaroo Flat and Golden Square between 10pm Saturday night and 10am Sunday morning.
A police spokesperson said the public can collect one-way screws from the station to more securely attach their registration plates to their vehicle.
The spokesperson said number plates were usually stolen to attach onto vehicles used to commit offences.
