SPRING Gully all-rounder Rhys Webb finished five votes clear to be crowned the Emu Valley Cricket Association's Player of the Year on Wednesday night.
Webb polled 15 votes to win the EVCA's Col Brayshaw Award ahead of a contingent of seven players who finished joint runner-up on 10 - California Gully's Shaun O'Shea, Emu Creek's Todd Brown and Jeremy Brown, Maiden Gully's Angus Chisholm, team-mate Jesse Marciano, Mandurang's Matt Pask and United's Harry Whittle.
Webb also won the batting award with 729 runs, which includes the season's two highest scores of 180 against West Bendigo and 165 against Mandurang.
