This season will mark Hansen's eighth season with the Braves and is in-line to score his 500th career point
"Bring on round one," Hansen said.
"It's exciting that we will be aligned to the NBL in this new league and I can't wait to play against some of the best basketball talent in Australia.
"We've had over 30 training sessions already, Ray (Turner) coming back from Sydney has provided an additional boost and with a couple more players to arrive, we are ready to do battle on March 31."
Hansen - who is known as the three-point specialist - celebrated his 100th game with the Braves last season.

Braves coach David Hogan has urged Hansen to "take his game to the next level this season".
"If we are to achieve success as a team in 2019, it's players like Hansen that will be crucial to ensuring we are around at the pointy end of the season," Hogan said.
"His shooting from beyond the arc is unquestionable but he has been working really hard on getting to the basket more often, and the early signs are good."
