Dehaney hosted a community netball clinic where children gained invaluable on-court experience from one of the Vixens' star players.
The clinic was held in the lead-up to the Bendigo pre-season netball blockbuster.
Suncorp Super Netball teams will travel to Bendigo to play in a four-game pre-season series.
Melbourne Vixens will host West Coast Fever, Collingwood Magpies and Queensland Firebirds at the Bendigo Stadium.
Bendigo netball player Caitlin Thwaites will take to the court with the Vixens after finishing up the past two years with the Magpies.
"This is going to be the first time I step back out in the Vixens dress, and to do it in the stadium where I grew up playing is something really special," Thwaites said.
"Bringing elite netball to regional towns is such a great opportunity not only for us to meet the fans who travel far to see us, but for the young netball players to be able to see what is possible."
