BENDIGO Bank will consider compensating customers who experienced financial loss as a result of an IT outage.
The bank says its systems are back up and running.
"We want you to know that we have read your comments and messages and want to apologise for the trouble this outage has caused," it said via social media.
"We won't be resting until we get to the bottom of it and try to ensure it won't happen again."
The bank said it would consider compensation 'as appropriate based on supporting evidence' for customers who experienced financial loss.
A Bendigo Bank spokesperson said all payments received had been processed overnight and payment processing had returned to normal.
"We can’t comment on individual cases but payments will be processed as per usual processing times," they said.
"Customers can contact the bank if they have any questions on their individual circumstance."

BENDIGO Bank is still having trouble with its online services.
The bank said in a social media post it was experiencing intermittent issues with ebanking.
"You are able to use our ATMs and EFTPOS facilities or visit a branch," it said.
"We're working toward a fix and we will update you as soon as we can."
It comes after Bendigo Bank customers reported ongoing issues accessing their funds, despite the bank's belief the issue had been resolved.

BENDIGO Bank says the IT outage affecting a number of its systems yesterday, including ebanking, has been resolved.
"The bank will continue to undertake a thorough investigation on the reasons behind the outage to mitigate a future incident of this kind," it said in a statement.
The bank has ruled out a cyber attack and other forms of malicious activity as causes.
"This was not a data breach," a spokesperson said.
"Customers should feel comfortable this will have no impact on their deposits or other investments."
The bank thanked its customers and partners for their patience and offered its sincerest apologies for the inconvenience the outage caused.
"If customers have any additional questions, they can also contact our customer service team on 1300 236 344," the spokesperson said.

SOME Bendigo Bank customers have reported their transactions are working again as normal.
But some are still complaining they have not received their expected payments.
Last night, Bendigo Bank said via Twitter that payments from Tuesday and Wednesday would be processed overnight Wednesday.
The bank has not released an updated statement since 10.20pm.
However, an alert remains on the website, warning customers it is experiencing technical issues that affected internet banking.
Wednesday, 10pm
Work continues on rectifying the outage. Bendigo Bank has advised via social media that payments from yesterday and today would be processed overnight.
Meanwhile, customers continue to express their anger on Twitter, with many frustrated at the long delays and lack of communication.
8.45pm
Bendigo Bank has reported that the system is still down but the team was working "as hard as they can to resolve issues with the current outage".
Some social media users were starting to report wage payments going into accounts in the past few minutes.
Update, 6.55pm: BENDIGO Bank has promised to keep its customers updated throughout the evenings work to rectify an issue affecting a number of its systems continues.
The cause of the outage is not yet known.
"Our ATM and EFTPOS facilities are operational and can be used," the bank said via a social media post.
"We sincerely apologise for this outage and the inconvenience it has caused."
Update, 2.37pm: BENDIGO Bank customer Jacqui Kay said she would have have appreciated a notification of the IT outage.
The bank published an alert about the issues affecting a number of its systems, including ebanking, via social media at 6am.
But Ms Kay said there was no text or email to bring the issue directly to the attention of customers.
She found out there was an issue when she tried to pay rent this morning.
Bendigo Bank's phone systems were also down for a period of time.
" Most branches should be able to process deposits and withdrawals for customers in branch. Please call your local branch," an update published on the bank's Facebook page at 2.25pm said.
"Customers should feel comfortable that this will have no impact on their deposits or other investments."
Update, 2.14pm: BENDIGO Bank says it is working with all branches experiencing issues to enable customers to continue making deposits and withdrawals as an IT outage persists.
"Our number one focus is to get all of our services restored and as part of the activities to resolve the IT outage, we are undertaking root cause analysis," a bank spokesperson said.
They said the bank became aware of the issue in the early hours of this morning.
The IT outage is impacting 'a number' of the bank's systems, including ebanking.
"Our ATMs and EFTPOS facilities are operational including the ability to withdraw cash through these services," the spokesperson said.
"All branches have been provided with workaround instructions to process deposits and withdrawals for customers in branch.
"Business continuity plans are also in place to continue critical operations."
It is not yet known how many of the bank's branches are affected.
The spokesperson said Bendigo Bank was working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and would provide further updates as soon as it had information.
"We sincerely apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused and remind customers they can contact our customer service team on 1300 236 344 with any additional questions," they said.
Update, 1pm: CUSTOMERS have found themselves strapped for cash as a result of technical issues affecting Bendigo Bank.
One customer was trying to pay for fuel about midnight today when he realised there was an issue.
An EFTPOS transaction at Golden Square failed, so he went to an ATM in Maiden Gully.
The ATM didn't work, either.
"Had to get cash from home and to back [to] pay for fuel," the customer said.
The technical issue caused some people to reflect on their reliance on electronic banking.
"This is where a cashless society falls," another Bendigo Bank customer said.
"I don't have any cash on me and no ability to use my bank account."
Comment has been sought from Bendigo Bank.
