A mid-race crash on Sunday night left one spectator and four cyclists injured.
Almost half of the field were involved in the crash, which happened with 138 laps remaining of the 200-lap race.
One rider spilled over the fence into the crowd, hitting Maryborough spectator Ross Forster, 70, who was left with multiple facial fractures.

In the wake of the crash Cycling Victoria issued a statement that nobody goes to a race and expects to get hurt and that they wished everybody a speedy recovery.
