The leg-spinner claimed the amazing figures of 8-6 off three overs in Bendigo Senior Secondary College's comfortable round one win over Cohuna Secondary College at Tannery Lane.
After going wicketless in his first four deliveries, Begg took eight wickets in his next 14 balls.
After making 4-113 off its 13 overs, BSSC dismissed Cohuna for 63 in 9.3 overs.
Kangaroo Flat's Riley Burns top-scored for BSSC with 49 not out, while Ben Williams and Jack Ginnivan added 22 runs each.
That was where the good news ended for BSSC.
Mildura Senior College eliminated BSSC in the next round.
BSSC compiled 6-84 off 13 overs, with Ryan O'Keefe making 29, Ginnivan 20 not out and Williams 13.
Mildura cruised to victory in the 12th over for the loss of three wickets.
