Team pursuit world champion Sam Welsford thrilled the crowd with some brilliant performances across the weekend.
Hashimoto quickly became a crowd favourite with his high speed and fun loving personality.
It was Hashimoto who took out the feature event - the Golden Mile Wheelrace on Sunday night.
Off a handicap of 60m, Hashimoto denied a host of Australian riders, including Bendigo's Adam Jackson.
One of the frontmarkers off 195m, Jackson surged to the lead with a lap to go and was still 25m in front with 200m left.
However, the backmarkers powered home with Hashimoto proving too good for Alex Porter and Rohan Wight, with Jackson forced to settle for fourth.
The only individual race Welsford failed in was the Golden Mile Wheelrace, a race he's won twice in the past three years.
Welsford didn't qualify for Sunday's final, but the disappointment of Saturday night's heat ride didn't last long.
Welsford showed the crowd just how good he is with a dominant win over a high-quality field in the Bill McLachlan Memorial Aces Scratch Race.
Welsford powered away from the 15-man field of Madison riders to collect the $500 first prize for the third successive year.
He also finished second in the race in 2016.
He was just as impressive in Sunday night's Kierin Final.
The West Australian looked to be a sitting duck at the bell as he led with a group of powerful riders behind him.
Hashimoto made his way through the field and at the 200m mark looked a chance of reeling in Welsford.
In a split second Welsford lifted a gear and surged clear to win comfortably from Hashimoto and young Victorian Godfrey Slattery.
Hashimoto rode superbly all weekend.
He showed his class on Saturday night by winning the Gold and Opal Wheelrace final.
Racing off 75m, Hashimoto proved too strong for Jarrad Drizners (70m) and Kelland O'Brien (scratch) in a slick time of 2:00.97.
O'Brien did an outstanding job to finish third off the backmark.
Saturday night's Norm Manskie Memorial scratch race was taken out by Ryan Schilt ahead of Blake Quick and Jarrad Drizners.
Bendigo Women's Madison champion Kristina Clonan capped a brilliant carnival by winning Sunday night's women's A-grade scratch race.
The Queenslander won Saturday's Madison with Alex Martin-Wallace.
