The duo - who were riding for team Yellow Iron Fleet - finished the race on 48 points, with second place Water Wheel Wines finishing with 29 and third place RMIT "Flying in Bendigo" on 25.
It was the first time the pair had raced in the Bendigo Madison together, and it's a memory that will stay with them for years to come.
"It's pretty special to win here tonight as we're both from the Sunshine Coast - it was great to share the win with Alex tonight," Clonen said.
Yellow Iron Fleet had a strong hold on the race by the half-way point and continued the momentum to finish on the top position of the podium.
"We wanted to maintain the lead, but also make sure it was a fun and entertaining race for the crowd," Martin Wallace said.
"We tried to make the most out of everything."
The pair had been training in the lead-up to the event, with every second of their practice more than evident with their strong performance.
"We've been training together for a while and Alex (Martin Wallace) has just risen to elite rank so there will be a lot more racing together in the future," Clonen said.
"Our sponsors also helped us a lot to put us into the race and also the organisers always put on such a great event in Bendigo.
"And a big thank you to all of our supporters back in Queensland."
