A squad of 20 riders for the championships, to be held in Brisbane from March 28-31, includes seven Bendigo riders.
They are under-17 riders Jasmine Eddy, Alessia McCaig and Jackson Hadden, and under-15 riders Belinda Bailey, Haylee Jack, Angus Gill and Nate Hadden.

It is the same number of Bendigo cyclists, who represented Victoria at last year’s championships in Melbourne..
Only McCaig, who ended those championships with four gold medals, and Eddy, who collected a silver medal, are returning from last year’s team.

The cyclists’ selections followed top performances at last weekend’s Victorian Junior Track Championships in Melbourne.
Among the standout efforts were classification gold medals to Bailey (sprint, keirin and pursuit) and McCaig (sprint and keirin); silver to Gill (keirin), McCaig (time trial)and Jackson Hadden (pursuit); and bronze to Jack (sprint and keirin), Jackson Hadden (time trial) and Nate Hadden (sprint and pursuit).
Cycling Victoria general manager Craig Eastwood congratulated the 20 team members on their selection.
“As we have seen over the past month with our masters, elite and junior state championships, Victoria has such depth of talent coming through the junior ranks at the moment,” he said.
“We have seen youngsters like Luke Plapp, Godfrey Slattery and Ashlee Jones progress through to the under-19 categories over the past couple of years.
“It is really exciting to see a new group of junior Victorian riders showing their skills and speed on the track."
"There are great benefits to the squad-based training the riders have received as part of the National Junior Track Series, they have performed exceptionally across the series and I am very confident the team will continue their momentum and produce thrilling riding and results at the national championships."
