Mueck fired a two-over par 72 during round one, with four bogeys and five pars on the front nine.
Followed by two bogeys, three pars and four birdies on the back nine.
Martin shot a four-under par 66 during round one, with seven pars and two birdies on the back nine.
Followed by another seven pars and two birdies on the back nine.
The annual championship is being held at the par 70 City Golf Club at Toowoomba.
Both Martin and Mueck recently played in the Axedale GC and Neangar Park GC Pro-Ams.
Martin won the inaugural Axedale Pro Am in January this year, with Mueck carding an impressive 59 off the stick to set the new course record.
