The fire is under control and there is no threat to those in the area, but smoke may be visible.
People with heart or lung conditions, children, pregnant women and older people should take note they are more susceptible to ill effects from smoke.

UPDATE 2.58pm: A grass fire in the Mount Alexander Regional Park has been brought under control.
Firefighters have contained the blaze to half a hectare in size.
Seven CFA vehicles attended the scene.
EARLIER: Firefighters are attending a grass fire in the Mount Alexander Regional Park.
The call was received at 2.11pm and the fire was not under control at 2.30pm.
