COLBINABBIN continues to hit form at the right time of the Northern United Cricket Association season, winning its fourth game in a row on Saturday.
In a crucial battle between two sides jostling for a finals berth, the Ducks outplayed Raywood by 53 runs to be sitting in fourth position with one home and away round remaining.
Chris Guinane (52) and Daniel Morgan (48) were the backbone of Colbinabbin’s 161 batting first.
Raywood was all out for 108 in reply, and while Colbinabbin is hitting its straps, the Foxes are in a slump with five losses in a row.
Morgan capped a solid all-round game for the Ducks with 3-9 off six overs.
• Openers Alex Williamson and Darcy McLean batted Heathcote to a 10-wicket victory over Calivil.
After Calivil compiled 7-134 off its 40 overs, McLean (75 n.o.) and Williamson (51 n.o.) both scored unbeaten half-centuries as the reigning premier Saints answered with 0-138 off 35 overs.
• Ladder-leader Elmore notched another victory, defeating Bagshot by 33 runs.
Set up by a 51-run opening stand between captain Matt Gilmour (40) and Bailey Boyack (22), Elmore reached 153 after being sent in.
The Bagshot innings was in tatters early in its chase with the Razorbacks 2-1 and then 4-13 before scrounging their way to 120.
Elmore opening bowlers James Harney (4-17) and Gilmour (3-7) combined for 7-24 off 13.1 overs.
