Police say the Triumph had stopped to turn right from the Trentham Road to the Carlsruhe Central Road, when the Kia travelling in the same direction crossed onto the wrong side of the road to overtake.
The Kia clipped rear right hand side of the Triumph, causing significant damage.
The driver of the Triumph suffered minor scratches and some neck pain. The car was significantly damaged.
The crash happened at about 9.30am on Wednesday February 13.
The driver of the offending vehicle, a 75-year-old woman, was issued with two infringement notices.
Senior Constable Jamie Jordan said the driver of the Triumph was lucky to not be seriously injured or killed.
He warned drivers to take care.
“People went they’re approaching intersection need to take care and make sure they’re aware of what’s going on before they overtake or decide to go round slow and turning vehicles,” Senior Constable Jordan said.
