The Bendigo Yarn Bombers have struck again in the city, this time spreading some Valentine's Day love through handmade hearts tied onto the Alexandra Fountain.
The group unleashed the display of hearts in the dead of the night on Wednesday after painstakingly making them for the past six few weeks.
Each of the pink and red yarn ornaments have a tag attached to it with the title of a famous love song and an encouragement to take the heart home.
The group chooses to stay anonymous but a Yarn Bombers spokesperson said they are "happy to spread some love".
"As we were installing last night, people were happy to take a heart home," the spokesperson said. "We’re encouraging people to take them home as our gift to them."
The latest display comes after the group yarn bombed a the Santa Tram over the Christmas period.
