40th YEAR FUNDRAISER
The Intensive Care Auxiliary of Bendigo Health is celebrating 40 years of fundraising and supporting the intensive and critical care units at Bendigo Health.
Join in for this months fundraising event and meet the regular supporters and past supporters.
There will be a morning tea spread and tea and coffee.
There will also be prizes and a raffle.
$5 entry which will go towards providing equipment, assisting with scholarships and more.

BLACK SATURDAY ANNIVERSARY
The City of Greater Bendigo is hosting a free community event to help commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the 2009 Victorian bushfires and the day which is now known as “Black Saturday”.
Residents are invited to come along to mark the anniversary with a morning tea.
The anniversary will provide an opportunity for community members to reflect on the impact of the fires on Bendigo, Redesdale and Victoria.
The event also features music, guest speakers, tree planting and much more.
Where: Bendigo Bushfire Memorial, Albert Richardson Reserve, Marong Road.

CLASSIC CAR DISPLAY
If you enjoy vintage cars and all things auto, then this event is for you.
Hosted by the Macedon Ranges and District Motor Club, this event boasts vehicles 25 years and older on display.
This is also an annual picnic day, so don’t forget your rug and foods.
Where: Hanging Rock, 139 South Rock Road, Woodend.
When: Sunday, February 10, 9am-2pm.
COMMUNITY RIDE
Hosted by Bike Bendigo, this event allows for bike riders of all ages and abilities to enjoy a smooth ride in historic Bendigo.
The ride is away from traffic and along the creek trails, and lets you go at your own pace.

SINGING SESSION
Learn a new skills and try out for the MaCapella Singers.
No experience necessary – just head along for a sing and a laugh, meet other mums and share parenting tips.
Where: Old Church on the Hill, corner Harkness and Russell Streets, Quarry Hill.
When: Tuesday, February 12, 10am-11am.

CLUB TALK
Head along to the Strathfieldsaye Probus Club’s meeting and learn more about the clubs goals for 2019.
At about 11am, there will be a special guest speaker from the Macular Disease Foundation who will be able to answer questions about the foundation and what they do.
All are welcome to attend.

TRIVIA FUNDRAISER
Do you enjoy music? Would you like to be in the running for a cruise?
Head along to this music trivia fundraising event.
South Bendigo athlete, Sebastyn Andrea has been invited to compete in Canada in 2019.
Sebastyn has been training in athletics since he was nine and now at 13, he has been invited to a training camp with Sports Travel Australia.
This trivia event will feature a silent auction, raffles, lucky seat prize and other fun events.
The Spudway Mobile Van will also be set up for those who would like a potato for dinner. $1 per spud sold will be donated back to the fundraiser.

SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE
Head along to this dance event and enjoy an evening of fun.
The event features great music by Family Rhythm Dance Band, a good program and delicious home cooked supper.
There’s also a raffle and prizes.

SUMMER SALSA
Come and dance salsa in Bendigo's beautiful gardens. Bring a picnic and a friend and learn something new.
Classes are 30-45 minutes followed by 45-60 minutes of dancing. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing to allow for movement.

MENTAL HEALTH WALK
Walk for a good cause at this community event.
Raise awareness for those struggling with mental health by walking around historic Wedderburn.
The event is sponsored by the VFF.
The day also includes a free lunch and tea breaks.

AUSLAN STORYTIME
Join in for a special Auslan Storytime session at the Bendigo Library.
Special guest Maggie will sign along to stories and songs.
Maggie will also teach simple Auslan signs that can be shared with friends.

PARENT AND TODDLER YOGA
Parent and toddler yoga classes not only help parents strengthen their body, but it also helps create patience and resilience in the studio with a toddler.
This event includes various stretches, breathing and meditation skills.
Children are also welcome to join in or to play around their parents.

EXHIBITIONS
ENCHANTED FOREST SAND SCULPTURES
Join in on a mythical adventure with impressive sand sculptures.
This sculptures are held at the scenic (and historical) homestead, Dromkeen, which adds to the wonder of the exhibition.
Fairies, unicorns, goblins and other creatures will be waiting to show you the magic of an enchanted forest.
Some of the world’s best sand sculpting artists have come together, turning 300 tonnes of sand into a wonderland.
This exhibition also allows for people of all ages to enjoy interactive fun.

CREATIVE ZEST
A delightful exhibition of work by four artists from central Victoria, located in the historic Bendigo Visitor Centre, the Living Arts Space and the Post Office Gallery.
This exhibition features ceramics by Sarah Koschak, artworks by Lynn Twelftree, furniture by Hugh Makin and buttoncraft by Carole Grenfell.

THE LONG SUMMER SALON
Join in for the first exhibition opening event of 2019 at Cascade Art, Maldon.

RUPTURE
Central Victoria artist, Jessie Boylan, has produced a new work titled Rupture.
Rupture shows the ways in which the body, people and the world mimic each other in a crisis.
Rupture uses video and sound to illustrate some of the stressors in today’s world – from fires and floods to the relentless pace of modern life – alongside a performer’s depiction of the body’s response to trauma.

GOTHIC BEAUTY
Curated by Tansy Curtin and Jessica Bridgfoot (and a Bendigo Art Gallery exclusive), this exhibition takes a look into early Victorian rituals of mourning as early as the 1800s.
The artists featured in the exhibition include Jane Burton, Bill Henson and Janet Beckhouse. The exhibition draws on works from the gallery's historic collections, as well as loaned pieces and works from contemporary artists.
