A yellow Holden Monaro, firearms, stolen tools, a stolen motorbike, firearms scope, a safe, a conducted energy device, a fire starter, rifle stock and an ammunition belt were among the items seized after police swooped on six addresses about 6am.
The raids were the result of a joint investigation into residential burglaries, aggravated burglaries and commercial burglaries believed to have occurred in the past six months in the region.
All six men are from Echuca and are between the ages of 25 – 33.
The raids took place at addresses in Woodlands, Stawell, Paroo, Leichardt and Boothman streets and Lady Augusta Road in Echuca.
Police from Moira, Campaspe and Shepparton police service areas, the Eastern Region Crime Squad and the Central Victoria Response Unit collaborated to investigate the offences.
“Our cross regional law enforcement model continues to evolve with excellent information sharing and joint investigations,” Wangaratta Inspector Kerrie Hicks said.
“We know that offenders don’t stop at the borders, and neither do we.”
Inspector Hicks said the arrests posed a timely reminder for people to lock up their valuables and to call Crime Stoppers if they had any information about any offending.
“I’d like to thank the community for their ongoing support. It is our focus to ensure not only that people are safe but that they feel safe,” she said.
