Nicole Ferrie is editor of the Bendigo Advertiser. Nicole was employed as a cadet journalist with the Bendigo Advertiser in 1994 - and has since worked in media across various mediums in different locations. Nicole is a multi-award winning journalist, whose work is often acknowledged for helping change community attitudes - in particular around gender inequality, and raising awareness of violence against women and children. Her commendations include an Our Watch Walkley Foundation award and the Victoria Law Foundation Columb Brennan Award for excellence in court reporting. Nicole was named a 2017 Fairfax Media woman of influence and under her leadership the Bendigo Advertiser was named the 2017 Rural Press club of Victoria media outlet of the year.
