Police have charged a 29-year-old Bendigo man after a car chase in Victoria’s western suburbs on Monday.

Police tried to intercept an allegedly stolen black Holden Commodore Ute, seen driving on the wrong side of the Princes Highway at Corio at about 9.30am.
The car failed to stop when police tried to intercept it.
Police continued to monitor the ute, which was allegedly driving erratically through Melbourne’s western suburbs, before being abandoned in a shopping centre car park in Geelong.
The occupants allegedly then left the shopping centre in a green Holden Commodore wagon, which also sped away.
Police initiated a pursuit. Three people left the vehicle in Waurn Ponds, and allegedly attempted to carjack another car, before fleeing on foot.
A 29-year-old Bendigo man, a 26-year-old Maryborough woman and a 17-year-old Geelong West girl were arrested by police after a foot chase.
Police continued to pursue the green Holden Commodore, which came to a stop in a paddock on the Hamilton Highway, near Inverleigh.
The driver, a 22-year-old Corio man, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with 19 theft of motor vehicle and dangerous driving related matters. He has also been charged in relation to an earlier incident.
The Bendigo man has been charged with 14-offences. They include dangerous driving while pursued by police, theft, theft of motor vehicle, drive while disqualified, careless driving, driving in a manner dangerous, reckless conduct endanger life, and criminal damage.
He appeared before the Geelong Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
The Maryborough woman was released without charge.
