BENDIGO
Lunar New Year & Chinese New Year
Lunar New Year’s history dates back thousands of years and is one of the most important traditions in Asian culture.
The Lunar New Year is widley celebrated by communities all over the world.
It celebrates the beginning of spring, as well as the new year.
Lunar New Year will bring in the Year of the Pig with Chinese New Year beginning on February 5.
Bendigo’s Chinese Association Inc. will celebrate with a community event.

When: Saturday, February 9, 7pm-9pm.

Bendigo Food Truck Carnival
Enjoy a rotation of up to 30 of Australia’s best food trucks in one location at this great carnival.
The event features a fully licensed bar, live music, carnival rides and a moonlight cinema.

Lunar New Year at the Great Stupa
Come together with family and friends to celebrate the Year of the Earth Pig.
This event includes receiving a free lucky gift, placing wishes of new beginnings on Bodhi trees, a tour inside The Great Stupa, the Jade Buddha, bathing of the baby Buddha, holy relics and more.
There will also be vegan/vegetarian food availalble for purchase.
Where: The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, Bendigo.
When: February 2-10, weekdays 9am-5pm, weekends 10.30am-5pm.
Cost: Free, donations welcome.
Lantern Festival
Gather your family and join in as Bendigo Joss House Temple celebrates Chinese New Year with a traditional Lantern Festival.
The lanterns have been specially decorated by children from the Dr Harry Little Preschool.
Visitors will see performances by the Chinese Association Lion Team and Plum Blossom dancers.
There will also be Bendigo Joss House Temple tours, tea tastings and Chinese calligraphy.

MALDON
Antiques and Collectables Fair
The Maldon Antique fair is one of Victoria’s fastest growing fairs.
With over 120 stalls, the fair has become a must attend event for buyers and sellers with rare and valuable treasures.
