ENTHUSIASTS have gathered to celebrate iconic cars at the Centre State Swap Meet.
Everything from Toranas to Commodores and hot rods were on display as crowds gathered from 7am for the 27th club swap meet.
The event included spare parts, cars for sale and brick-a-brac, but the highlight of the day was the afternoon show ‘n shine, Centre State Rodders secretary Megan Loy said.
“It’s unbelievable how many there are here. We will easily have 100,” she said prior to the show ‘n shine.
Ms Loy said the day’s activities were attracting strong crowds and early feedback suggested a move to the Bendigo Jockey Club from a track in Junortoun had been well received.
She said it meant patrons had more shade and did not have to contend with as much dust as at the previous venue.
“It’s really relaxed here. It’s a good day out for the whole family,” Ms Loy said.
She said the next club show ‘n shine would take place over Fathers Day, with fundraising events scheduled throughout the year.
