The Pioneers won the Twenty20 final in convincing style by 49 runs.
After winning the toss and batting, the Pioneers scored four runs off the first ove before rain set in.
After a two-hour delay play resumed and the Pioneers compiled 7-125 off 20 overs.
Spinner James Vlaeminck (2-31) was the only bowler to take multiple wickets for Northern Rivers.
Opening bowlers Harry Tonks (1-11) and Nick Gladman (1-12) did their job at the start of the innings.
Kangaroo Flat’s Ryan Bell took 1-10 off one over.
Northern Rivers’ batting fell apart.
Top four batsmen Vlaeminck (1), Todd Murphy (13) Scott Morris (1) and Ryan O’Keefe (2) were back in the sheds inside the first five overs.
Braydon Vaz (13) and Andrew Lloyd (10) reached double figures before departing.
Sandhurst duo Will Gadsden (0) and Nick Gladman (8) also fell cheaply to leave Northern Rivers 8-49.
Strathfieldsaye’s Jed Rodda, who didn’t bowl in the final, batted at number 10 and was the fourth Northern Rivers player to reach double figures.
Rodda finished top scorer with 14 not out off 16 balls as Northern Rivers finished all out 76.
Skipper Todd Murphy was named Renegades conference player of the series. He’ll get the opportunity to train with the BBL club twice this summer.
