A LOOK at the six rinks on the best winning streaks in the Bendigo Bowls Division heading into round 10 of weekend pennant on Saturday:
1 – Lee Schraner
(Bendigo East)
Streak – +8, +78 shots
The competition’s No.1 rink is yet to be beaten this season and boasts an average winning margin of nearly 10 shots per game.
The rink has won five of its eight games by double-figure margins, but has had one major scare, only scraping past Kangaroo Flat’s Cameron Wilson by one shot in round four.
Streak results – 29-18, 29-13, 30-23, 21-20, 28-17, 32-17, 30-25, 24-12.

2 – Dean Carter
(Eaglehawk)
Streak – +5, +39 shots
Season started off shaky when the rink was 1-2 after three rounds – although, that one win was a 23-shot hammering of the Flat’s Geoff Boyd in round two.
But has since gone on a hot streak of five wins in a row by margins of 4, 9, 5, 10 and 11 shots.
Streak results – 25-21, 28-19, 21-16, 29-19, 26-15.

3 – John Berry
(Kangaroo Flat)
Streak – +4, +18 shots
The Flat has started to build some momentum with three wins in its past four games to climb into the top four.
Leading the charge for the Flat has been the rink of John Berry, which has won four on the trot by margins that have ranged between three and six shots.
Streak results – 26-20, 22-19, 26-22, 20-15.

4 – Darren Burgess
(Eaglehawk)
Streak – +3, +39 shots
Expected to be one of the dominant rinks of the competition, but hit a mini hurdle with two losses in three games in rounds three and five.
But has since bounced back with three-consecutive wins, including a blistering 42-16 win over Square’s Mal Finch in the final game before the mid-season break.
Streak results – 30-23, 24-18, 42-16.

5 – Damian Broderick
(Bendigo)
Streak – +3, +28 shots
Took over the skipping duties from Ian Ross earlier in the season and has the rink up and firing.
Three wins in a row by a combined 28 shots follows a 2-3 start to the season for the rink and coincides with Bendigo as a team also winning three games in a row.
Streak results – 31-17, 25-18, 26-19.

6 – Andrew Brown
(Bendigo)
Streak – +3, +16 shots
Been a solid reversal in form for Brown’s rink, which has won three in a row off the back of three tight losses on the trot between rounds three and five.
Streak results – 22-16, 20-17, 23-16.
