No fire can be lit in the open air or be allowed to remain alight on January 17 in those three districts.
Fire conditions will be severe, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting temperatures temperatures in the 40s in the state’s north.
Heat health alerts have been issued for the affected districts.
Fire conditions in the North Central, North East, and South West will be ‘very high’, while the CFA has assigned a ‘high’ fire danger rating to the Central, East Gippsland and West and South Gippsland districts.
The Northern Country fire district encompasses the municipalities of Greater Bendigo, Campaspe, Loddon, Greater Shepparton, Moira and Strathbogie.
Central Goldfields, Mount Alexander, Mitchell and Murrindindi shires are in the North Central fire district.
Macedon Ranges is among the shires in the Central district.
State Response Controller Chris Hardman said people needed to ensure they were prepared.
“We’re still in the summer holiday period before school returns, with a large number of people camping and visiting national parks. It is important everyone remains vigilant and don’t light camp fires,” he said.
“If you’re camping, holidaying up on the river, or attending any outdoor events, plan ahead.
“Drink plenty of water and check in on others. Look after those most at risk in the heat – your neighbour living alone, the elderly, the young, people with a medical condition and don’t forget your pets.
“Stay aware of your surroundings and if you’re travelling or in unfamiliar places, make sure you are aware of the local risk. Know how to stay informed and never rely on one source for emergency information.”
