Police said the the single-vehicle roll over occurred on the Calder Freeway about 10.15am.
The 40-year-old female passenger and 43-year-old male driver were both taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
EARLIER: Traffic is being directed away from a car rollover on the Calder Freeway near Woodend North.
Police, paramedics, CFA and SES are all on scene after a car rolled on the southbound lane of the Calder Freeway at 10.30am.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said a man aged between his 30s and 40s was trapped for some time but has since been freed.
“He was assessed to be in a stable condition with some non-life threatening injuries to his back,” the spokeswoman said. “He has not yet been transported to hospital.”
The exit ramp that links to Woodend via the Avenue of Honour is closed with emergency services directing traffic.
Emergency services are advising drivers to allow extra time, use the next exit and use Romsey Road to head to Woodend.
