A RYAN Metelmann century, combined with a flurry of late runs from Nick Drew, lifted Arnold to a score of more than 300 on the first day of two-day action in the Upper Loddon Cricket Association season on Saturday.
Arnold cracked 9-312 off its 70 overs against Wedderburn in the clash of third v fourth.
The Redbacks had one stage been 0-180, before Wedderburn hit back, taking 9-64 to leave Arnold 9-244.
However, the pair of No.9 Drew (71 n.o.) and Phil Davies (4 n.o.) added an unbroken 68 for the last wicket to push the total above 300.
Earlier, Metelmann cracked 128 and was part of an opening stand of 180 with Cameron Dale (45).
Adam Postle snared 4-79 off 25 overs for Wedderburn, which included the long-awaited first breakthrough when he had Metelmann trapped lbw.
