The boy was airlifted from the Serpentine Recreation Reserve to the Royal Children’s Hospital and a 12-year-old girl was taken to the Bendigo Hospital by road ambulance following the incident.
The boy and girl were playing on a log in the Loddon River when one of the branches of the log broke off causing injury.
