Officers in towns including Birchip, Charlton, Cohuna, Culgoa, Donald, Kerang, Koondrook, Lake Boga, Nyah, Quambatook, Sea Lake and Wycheproof will now wear them.
It is part of a statewide roll-out of 11,000 cameras by 2020, with police saying they will be used to record video and audio footage to improve community safety, enhance evidence gathering and increase accountability.
Bendigo police are not expected to receive their cameras by the end of 2018, with the initial focus on the north west and south west of Victoria.
Police have said previously that recordings during trial phases in Epping and Ballarat were instrumental in securing guilty pleas in at least four court cases.
